'2022 is the time' for Peter Andre and wife Emily to have another baby

Peter Andre and his wife Emily could be hearing the pitter-patty of tiny feet next year as a new baby may be on the cards.

The singer and reality TV star, 48, is already a father of four, but he’s keen on expanding his brood in 2022.

Despite previously saying 2021 would be the final year he’d consider having more children, the Mysterious Girl hitmaker has changed his mind thanks to the continuing pandemic, adding that he needs to ‘put everything back 12 months’.

Writing in his OK! column, Pete revealed that he’s now ‘saying if it’s going to happen, 2022 is the time.’

‘I’m 49 in February and I’ve always said my limit was until I turn 50, so who knows!’

Pete and Emily, a doctor, are parents to daughter Amelia, seven, and son Theo, five.

He also has older children Junior, 16, and Princess, 14, with ex-wife Katie Price.

However, Pete’s hopeful family comment comes after Emily, 32, previously told OK! magazine that more kids are off the cards for now.

In October, the NHS doctor said: ‘I’m not thinking about any more kids at the moment.

‘I’m really enjoying being a mum and my work. The last year, two years I’ve really enjoyed my job and I love the time I can give the kids now.

‘I love babies, don’t get me wrong but I was watching Millie yesterday with Theo and I thought if I had a baby it’d be so hard to do this, and the other kids would end up missing out a bit.

‘For me it’s lovely how it is now – I just don’t think the dynamic is right for a baby at the moment.’

Pete recently revealed that his teen son Junior is getting far more attention than he is as he approaches 50.

He told Metro that his heartthrob days are pretty much behind him, and that girls are now chasing his eldest.

‘It was a long, long time ago when that happened to me!’ he laughed when asked whether he still gets attention. ‘They do actually go crazy for Junior.

‘The first time it happened, Emily couldn’t stop laughing — these girls came running up and asked me if I could take a picture of them with Junior.

‘She won’t let me hear the end of it. I do still have my six-pack!’
