Bachelorette star Chad Johnson tells fans he’s ‘doing fine’ after suicide fears

Bachelorette star Chad Johnson has told his fans he's "doing fine" after posting worrying messages about suicide on social media before being rushed to hospital.

It is understood that on Saturday morning the TV personality, 32, was taken to the hospital for a welfare check – which was the second he's had in two days.

Officers feared he may be a danger to himself but no injuries were found on the reality star, TMZ reported.

A few hours after being admitted Chad took to Instagram to reassure his fans about his welfare.

He wrote: "I'm okay. Things are fine, I love you."alongside a snap of furniture inside an apartment.

"You'll be great. Life is going to be okay," his message continued. "Forgive yourself. Let go."

He also made another post in which he told his fans to "stop calling the police" and said he "didn't want to be abducted or kidnapped," adding "good luck b****es. Come find me".

A spokesperson for LAPD said they received a call about a man threatening suicide in his apartment in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles and that he was taken to a local hospital for a medical emergency.

On Friday police conducted a welfare check on the star at his home after friends called them over an concerning Instagram story, in which the allegedly uploaded an image of a rope tied to a door and captioned it: "it'll be okay."

The photograph, which didn't show his face, has now been deleted.

Law enforcement sources insist Chad "was not a threat to himself or others."

Chad was arrested on Monday for domestic violence and robbery after an alleged bust-up with his ex-girlfriend, Annalise Mishler, at her Los Angeles residence.

After being released he explained the incident on social media and denied he was guilty of assaulting Annalise.

He said: "I made a promise to myself and my girlfriend that I wouldn't [drink] anymore, and as most of you know, that has been an issue in my life," he said. "Whenever I do drink, I don't act right."

"I have never laid hands on a woman any time in my entire life," he stated.

"I was in the Marine Corps and was taught core values. I have a sister. I am a very overprotective brother. If she ever felt in danger, I would want her to call.

"If any women out there ever feels like they are in any danger, I urge you to call 911."
