Emma Corrin performs funny dance over lunch with Josh O'Connor

The Crown’s Emma Corrin performs hilarious dance routine while enjoying lunch with on-screen husband Josh O’Connor following BAFTA snub

The Crown fans were left outraged after she was snubbed from this year’s BAFTA Television Awards.

But Emma Corrin didn’t appear the slightest bit fazed on Saturday, when she performed a hilarious dance routine while enjoying an al-fresco lunch with her on-screen husband Josh O’Connor and friends.

Giggling away as she ‘dabbed’ for the camera, the Princess Diana actress, 25, was in high spirits as 31-year-old Josh – who starred opposite Emma as Prince Charles in the hit series – laughed in the background.

Having fun: Emma Corrin, 25, performed a hilarious dance routine while enjoying an al-fresco lunch with her on-screen husband Josh O’Connor, 31, and friends on Saturday

Alongside the funny clip, Emma also shared a photo of her group’s empty plates, tagging Josh – who earned himself a Best Leading Actor nomination at Sunday’s ceremony – alongside two other friends in the snap.

The blonde beauty went make-up free for the dinner date and looked typically stylish in a pale green shirt.

She accessorised with a beaded choker and wore a green jumper wrapped around her waist.

Fans of The Crown were left disappointed in April after Emma was left off of the BAFTA TV Awards 2021 nominations list.

Some took to Twitter to declare her absence from the nominations a ‘literal joke’, despite her respective award season success as the late Princess Diana.

The hit still received recognition in the following categories; Drama Series, Leading Actor for Josh O’Connor as Prince Charles, Supporting Actor for Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip and Supporting Actress for Helen Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.

Season four of the Netflix programme is based on the former Princess of Wales’ strained relationship with her husband Charles, as well as Margaret Thatcher’s reign as Prime Minister of the UK from the late 70s to the early 90s.

Co-stars: Emma and Josh starred opposite each other in season four of The Crown, with Emma playing the late Princess Diana and Josh portraying Prince Charles

Gillian Anderson portrayed Margaret Thatcher.

Expressing their frustration on social media, ‘baffled’ fans wrote: ‘Emma and gillian [Anderson] not being nominated for any baftas after already sweeping award season so far its very odd #BAFTATV.’

Another added: ‘Nah the fact that that baftas have josh nominated but not emma.? they both gave outstanding performances… ANYWAY GOOD MORNING and im mad at the #BAFTAS nominations for forgetting emma corrin.’

Not happy: After the nominations were released in April, many fans of The Crown took to Instagram to share their anger over the fact Emma was not nominated

Angered viewers didn’t hold back as they continued: ‘baftas u absolute embarrassments how r u gonna nominate josh but not emma THEY’RE SUPPOSED TO BE DOMINATING AWARD SEASONS TOGETHER WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.’

Meanwhile, Emma is in the midst of filming her latest role in My Policeman opposite Harry Styles.

The former One Direction star, is taking the lead in the movie, which is set in Brighton in the 1950s, and based on Bethan Roberts’ novel, focusing on police officer Tom, who is gay, but married to Marion (Emma) due to societal expectations.

He goes on to have an affair with museum curator Patrick Hazelwood (David).
