Emmerdale actress Charley Webb has shared the sweetest childhood throwback with her brother, former Coronation Street star Jamie Lomas, to celebrate his birthday.

Taking to her Instagram Stories to wish her older sibling a Happy Birthday, Charley, who plays Debbie Dingle on the ITV soap, posted a picture from when she was a little girl.

Jamie, who plays Warren Fox in Hollyoaks but has previously appeared in Coronation Street, can be seen with his arm around his little sister in the retro snap.

Charley, 32, captioned the shot: “The most protective brother in the land. Happy Birthday fool face @jamielomas21.”

Real Full Monty star Jamie, who has just turned 45, also reposted the cute photograph on his Instagram Story.

The pair share an extremely close bond, with Jamie even walking Charley down the aisle when she tied the knot with her co-star husband Matthew Wolfenden back in 2018.

She told OK! of the moment: “My sister Cassie helped me put the wedding dress on. She said Jamie was so devastated as we had announced the ushers, best men and bridesmaids but then he realised.

“As if we could forget him! He can’t get over the fact we asked him to do it.”

Charley and Matthew threw a surprise wedding at Yorkshire’s Ripley Castle in February 2018. Their guests thought they were attending Charley’s 30th , only for the couple to announce that they were actually getting married.

Of them revealing their bridal party, Jamie added of the special moment: “When they were calling the names out I was thinking to myself, maybe I’m not going to get a job as I wasn’t asked to be an usher and then Charley asked me to walk her down the aisle – it was an honour.”

Charley lost her dad when she was just 14 years old.

She opened up about his death and how her mum Helen Webb stepped up to be both parents in a heartwarming Instagram post last year.

She wrote: “Everyone’s Mum means the world to them because you only ever get one Mum.

“I’m the baby of the family and that meant she always treated me like I’m about 5. Even now at 32. When I was 14 we lost my Dad very suddenly, he was so young and so was I.

"From that day, my Mum instantly became 2 parents. She had to take on both roles whilst also grieving the loss of her husband. I’ll never forget how strong she was for us all.

“I started working 6 weeks after we lost him and she was there every step of the way, encouraging me to follow my dreams and be the best person I can be."

"I wouldn’t be the person I am today without her xxx," she concluded.
