Taylor Swift donated $1 million to help victims of Nashville tornado and for relief efforts in the aftermath of the calamity.
The tornadoes destroyed hundreds of homes and killed at least 24 people in Tennessee earlier this week.
“Nashville is my home and the fact that so many people have lost their homes and so much more in Middle Tennessee is devastating to me,” Swift wrote on Instagram.
“I’ve made a donation to the Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund,” she added, referring to the non-profit organization that supports the affected communities.
Swift revealed her big help two days after tweeting, “My heart is with everyone in Tennessee who has been affected by the tornados.”
Swift also aided her hometown after the flooding in Tennessee and Kentucky in 2010.
Singer Chris Young and Lynyrd Skynyrd‘s Johnny Van Zant are also among the artists who have donated benevolently to Nashville relief efforts.
