The beautiful blonde and her fiancé Tom have opted for a stunning name of Irish origin which, according to nameberry.com, means golden princess.

Explaining the meaning behind the moniker, nameberry.com continued: “Orla is an Irish name closely associated with the high king Brian Boru, as it was the name of his sister, daughter and niece. It was very popular in the Middle Ages and has become popular again in Ireland and Scotland. In Irish, the name is Orlaith.”

The beautiful name is also associated with Harry Potter as there is a student at Hogwarts School named Orla Quirk.

For their newborn’s middle name, Danielle and Tom have opted for Mae, which is a girl’s name of English origin meaning “bitter or pearl.”

Nameberry.com explain that the name Mae is in fact derived from May; “the month name that was chosen for its connection to Maia, the Roman goddess of growth and motherhood.”

“Mae can be used as a nickname for the names Mary and Margaret—actress Mae West was born Mary. Alternate spellings include May, Mei, and Maye.

“Mae, a sweet and springlike old-fashioned name, hadn't been on the national charts in forty years, but finally made it back in 2010.”

And it turns out the name is somewhat popular among celebrities; Eric Clapton named his daughter Ella May, and US pop singer Jessica Simpson named her second daughter Birdie Mae Johnson.

Continuing, nameberry.com adds: “The May spelling makes it more of a month name, while Mae makes it an antique nickname name. Both can stand on their own, as seen by Kathryn Hahn's choice of Mae as her daughter's first name.
