Four-ingredient slow cooker recipe makes ‘yummy’ peach cobbler easily

Slow cookers are surprisingly versatile.

The kitchen appliances can be used to whip up all manner of tasty treats, from fry-ups to crispy pork belly .

And now, Facebook users have been raving about desserts you can make too.

On the Slow Cooker Recipe & Tips group , a foodie revealed that you can make peach cobbler in the devices.

You only need four ingredients to pull-off the sweet dish – a can of peaches, butter, cake mix and an egg.

And apparently, the recipe is really easy to throw together.

In a Facebook post, the foodie explained: “Perfect peach cobbler dump cake is a very easy recipe.

“Poured three cans of peaches, a little butter, cobbler cake mix and one egg into a crockpot and mix.

“Put it on low for four hours. It doesn’t get much easier than that!

“Serve with a scoop of ice cream on top if desired. Enjoy!”

The post racked up dozens of likes and plenty of comments too – and many said they’d be trying out the slow cooker hack.

One responder gushed: “Looks yummy.”

And another said: “Wow need to try this!”

Meanwhile, others shared their own takes on the recipe.

Apparently, if you can’t find cobbler cake formula, a regular sponge mix works too.

And if you can’t get hold of tinned peaches, you can use pie filling instead.

One Facebook user gave this a whirl – and said the results were tasty but a bit sweet.

She remarked: “Tried the peach cobbler in the crockpot – yummy…

“I will say it was a bit sweet for my taste but my husband loved it.
