You reassured me that I had the strength to face him and to be cross-examined by his barrister.
You also put me in touch with NAPAC, the National Association for People Abused in Childhood (napac.org.uk).
Unfortunately, there wasn’t enough evidence to convict my uncle.
I was gutted but glad to have had my day in court, and told the truth.
Now that it’s over, my husband and I have decided to change our lives and fulfil a long-held dream.
We’re selling our home and buying a canal boat, and plan to travel up and down the waterways.
