BGT illusionist Darcy Oake makes Kate Garraway disappear live on GMB

Good Morning Britain viewers were left stunned to their core while tuning in this morning after Britain's Got Talent winner Darcy Oake made Kate Garraway disappear live on air.

The 32-year-old illusionist, who came fifth in the BGT final in 2014, appeared on the show with a black box which was placed on a table.

Speaking to her co-host Ben Shephard before Darcy's stint, a concerned Kate voiced that she hasn't been told where she disappears to.

Ben asked, "Where do you disappear to?", to which Kate responded: "Well, I don't know that. No one has actually explained where I go to."

She continued: "All I know is that I have to get into a box and that's it. Darcy will do the magic."

Kate then joked: "I'm more worried about getting into the box. It doesn't look that strong and it doesn't look that big."

The box, which was just big enough for Kate to squeeze into, was placed on a table so viewers could see the box wasn't leading to anyway underneath as Kate climbed into it.

Taking off her high heels, Kate then bent down as Darcy shut her into the box.

Seconds later, the illusionist opened the box to reveal that Kate had in fact, disappeared live on air.

"Guess you'll have to tune in next week to see if she comes back."

Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their shock after Kate completely disappeared from the box.

A second tweeted: "I'm stunned where has Kate gone?"

However, other eagle-eyed fans claim to know how the trick may have worked.

"Mirrored floor gives the illusion of the floor being there and then Kate basically climbed into a hole prior to the collapse," one claimed.

A fourth commented: "Omg I’m late for work but got to see Kate disappear from the telly."

Good Morning Britain returns on Monday at 6am on ITV.
