When Noah Erb joined The Bachelorette cast midway through season 16, Bachelor Nation fans wondered whether Tayshia Adams’ new suitor would become the next villain. Noah jumped right into the madness during the week 6 group date. Then he earned a rose for his bold moves. But as the season moves forward, it seems the cast member will get into drama with the other men. Now, Chris Harrison has something to say about Noah and Adams’ relationship and how the romance moves the bachelorette’s journey forward.
‘The Bachelorette’ teases Noah Erb as the new villain for Tayshia Adams’ season
In The Bachelorette Season 16 Episode 6, newcomer Noah crashed the wrestling group date after Ed Waisbrot sat out. Then Adams invited Noah to the after-party, and she even shaved his mustache. But the contestant was more than just comic relief, as he earned a rose from Adams.
While Noah may be one to watch on Adams’ season of The Bachelorette, the trailer for episode 7 strongly suggested the cast member will stir the pot. In the teaser, Zac Clark claimed Noah will say “anything he has to do to win.” Bennett Jordan also said Noah is a “little boy” and Adams will “know it very soon.” Then Adams walked in and gave the cast a quick talk.
“If you guys are trying to start drama in the house for no reason, I’ll gladly walk you outside,” she said.
Meanwhile, ABC’s synopsis for The Bachelorette Week 7 confirmed all hell will break loose when one contestant tells Adams the other men are questioning her decisions. So the former phlebotomist will call out her cast, and everyone will retaliate against the snitch.
Chris Harrison explains Tayshia Adams and Noah Erb’s relationship on ‘The Bachelorette’
In an interview with Extra’s Rachel Lindsay (The Bachelorette Season 13), Harrison teased what happens to Adams and Noah. Lindsay brought up Adams’ frustrations in the week 7 trailer and wondered whether she’ll be a “no drama” bachelorette. Harrison shared Adams will “handle her own” this season.
“Tayshia’s a good friend of mine and this is a side that I was curious [to see] if it existed. I was a little worried,” Harrison said. “She’s just so soft, so sweet, and just has this one gear. And I hadn’t seen the flipside of that. I was really excited to see there is a flip side to this woman. She will handle her own, and she does not take any guff off these guys. I was excited to see that.”
He later added, “When the guys start questioning her sincerity, she can flip that switch, and she can handle her own. I was actually really proud of her, and I was glad to see it.”
Harrison also hinted Noah is the man who starts the drama on The Bachelorette. But that doesn’t necessarily mean Adams will send him home.
“The thing with Noah… I don’t know if you’ve ever dated a guy like this. But she always says, ‘You are bad news. You are trouble.’ But, you know, in a sexy way, in a good way,” Harrison said. “He says things and just does things that pushes her buttons in all the right ways. He just teases her and she loves it. It’s playful.”
Nevertheless, the Bachelor Nation host suggested Adams won’t end up with Noah on The Bachelorette. But whatever happens next, it certainly seems both parties are down to have some fun for now.
“Is he the guy she’s going to marry? I don’t know if that’s the guy you settle down with,” Harrison said. “That’s one of the choices she has to make. But he is that guy, and she loves it right now because it’s fun, it makes her feel sexy, it makes her feel light in a dramatic situation.”
