Norman Reedus is one of the very few The Walking Dead regulars to remain on the AMC show having been introduced in its very first season. Along with Carol Peletier (played by Melissa McBride), the pair have witnessed several stars come and go over the years, being killed off for the actors to go an explore other avenues away from the horror. Reedus is no different, however, as following the news TWD season 11 would be the last, he quickly landed a new role.
When the announcement first dropped that The Walking Dead would be concluding after season 11, it was revealed that Reedus would return in the role in his own spin-off.
Penned in for a 2023 release, Daryl’s story will live on in a spin-off alongside Carol and a whole new storyline.
However, this isn’t the only major news from Reedus’ career to hit headlines as he’s now landed a huge new deal with his own production company.
Partnering with AMC, Reedus has inked a first look development deal with the US network and his own production label bigbaldhead which will see him star in and produce a number of new projects.
One of which will be comic-book series Undone by Blood, based on the graphic novels of the same name.
At such early stages, it’s only been revealed Reedus will executively produce the show but there is scope for him to star on-screen.
Undone by Blood will also see its writers Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler serve as co-executive producers alongside the TWD star.
“It has been a dream of mine for so long to be able to share and tell progressive stories that shine a light where others don’t,” Reedus said.
He added to Deadline: “I feel incredibly privileged for the opportunity to amplify innovative voices in storytelling that are visionary in fostering change in culture,
“I couldn’t be happier to launch this company [bigbaldhead] alongside AMC and Blackstone Publishing.”
Before Reedus will get to grips with the all-new career move, however, fans will get to see him in the delayed season 10 finale and final season of The Walking Dead.
However, considering the Daryl and Carol spin-off has already been announced, not all fans are best pleased their fates have been sealed before the shows comes to a close.

Labelling it as a “massive spoiler”, several fans took to Twitter after the news broke annoyed that Daryl and Carol will definitely make it out of the show alive.
Nevertheless, with the delayed season 10 finale just a few weeks away, there will undoubtedly be some major farewells.
The last The Walking Dead fan saw, Beta (Ryan Hurst) was descending on Daryl and co with a gargantuan army of Whisperers and Walkers.
Desperate to avenge the death of Alpha (Samantha Morton), Beta is hellbent on killing all of the group or anyone who crosses his path.
While it’s unclear exactly who that will be, a handful of first-look pictures do suggest what dramas on the way.
It looks like Daryl will tackle the Whisperers head-on as one of the promo images show him covered in blood and guts in order to blend in with the dead.
Then there’s Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) who looks to be planning something secret with Daryl in another image.
Or could the return of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) be the key to bring down Beta and his army of the dead?
The Walking Dead season 10 returns to AMC on October 4 and FOX UK on October 5.
