Claiming she never engages in “party politics” teen climate change activist Greta Thunberg nevertheless endorsed Democratic nominee Joe Biden Saturday
“The upcoming US elections is above and beyond all that. From a climate perspective it’s very far from enough and many of you of course supported other candidates. But, I mean…you know…damn! Just get organized and get everyone to vote #Biden,” the 17-year old Swede tweeted.
Thunberg’s age — not to mention her citizenship — means she is ineligible to vote in the US.
Russian pranksters posing as Thunberg had already interjected her into the presidential race, it emerged this week.
After Sen. Kamala Harris dropped out of the race in December, comedians Vladimir “Vovan” Kuznetsov and Alexey “Lexus” Stolyarov — posing as Thunberg — called Biden’s eventual pick for vice president to reportedly offer up dirt on President Trump.
“I’m so inspired by your courage and your voice,” Harris told the ersatz Thunberg, according to audio of the call.
Thunberg has become a darling of the political left, with high profile appearances at the United Nations and alongside Al Gore.
She has also become a frequent adversary of conservatives and President Trump, who once ripped =activists such as Thunberg as “prophets of doom.”
And after Thunberg was named Time Magazine’s 2019 Person of the Year, Trump weighed in on the selection.
“So ridiculous. Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill,” Trump said.
